Not too much going on the last couple of months. Jon headed out June 16th to Okinawa to attend Sgt's course. The course is 49 days (7 weeks exactly). He is set to graduate on August 7th. I am planning on flying over to Okinawa on Friday August 3rd. The game plan is to relax at the beach for 5 days, as well as check out Okinawa and of course go to Jon's graduation. We are also hoping to meet up with one of Doug's friends Glenn Phipps and his family, since they live on the island.
August should be a very busy month for us. After we get back from Okinawa, we will go back to work for 2 weeks, then we are headed to Tokyo for 8 days. The main purpose of the trip is to hike Mt. Fuji before the trails close for the winter. Since we will be there for a little over a week, we have decided to check out Tokyo as well.
August also starts a new chapter in my nursing career, as I am starting my Masters in Nursing program. I will start all of the core classes, and hope to be done with them by the end of next summer or fall. As of now, my emphasis is Nurse Educator....but I am still on the fence if I should change it to Nurse Practitioner. It literally depends on where our next duty station will be.
In the meantime, I will knock out the core classes that are required for either emphasis, and decide later.
I will try to update more as it comes. Definitely will post a lot of pictures from both Okinawa as well as Mt. Fuji & Tokyo.
