Waiting is awful. On Monday, Jon went back to work...sort of. Since he is waiting for final orders, he basically goes into school, and sits around all day. He does work a little on his weather, just to keep up his skills. On Monday evening, we went over to the Patton's house for dinner, and to talk about the move to Japan, as they are coming with us to Iwakuni.
The rest of the week has been slow, and kind of boring. Tracy has been working on applying for a job in Japan, and has been updating her resume, scanning all the necessary documents, and making sure everything is in place before she hits the "send" button.
On Thursday, Tracy has to go to Pascagoula, MS to renew her CPR card before it expires at the end of the month.
Jon will be done with school on Thursday for the week, and who knows what the weekend will bring for the Macdonald's. Probably a trip to the gulf (its a 5 minute walk), maybe a movie. Who knows, when we do, you will!!

Back in Biloxi
We made it back to Biloxi Mississippi in one piece, and hit up the Gulfcoast Colliseum Crawfish Festival.
The before and after of our dinner....crawfish, boiled potatoes & corn....with a cold beer!
Now that we are in Mississippi, we have to sit and wait for orders stating we can go to Japan. Jon checks back into his detachment unit on Sunday, and hopefully we won't have to wait too long. In the meantime, we will hit the gym, play a little golf and play down at the gulf and get some sun!!

Travel days 2 & 3
The Alamo!
Whoops, I missed a day...Shame on me (us). On Thursday we drove from Lordsburg NM to San Antonio TX! We drove just over 700 miles! Once in San Antonio, we headed over to the RiverWalk for dinner, and to walk around, and stretch our legs.
On Friday morning, we got up early and went back to downtown San Antonio, to see the Alamo!
After breakfast and the Alamo, we hit the road AGAIN, and drove 467 miles to Baton Rouge, LA. The roads were very busy with the Easter Holiday coming, and so we decided to take one extra day before getting back to Biloxi.
Yummy beer, the LoneStar Lager!!

We are packed....I think!!
Not express...who knows when it will arrive!!
The entire house is packed...we think! If we forgot it, we will have to go without, or buy it when we get to Japan!
After 10 weeks, we think we are ready to go. We put renters in the house, paid all the bills (I hope), arranged all the details with the parents, have birth certificates, passports, vaccine & medical records for the both of us....now its just time for the goodbyes!
BYE!!! See you all in 3 years....some of you sooner than that!!

Big Changes for the Macdonalds
For the last 9 months, Jon has been studying weather forcasting in Biloxi, MS. Prior to graduation, he was given a new duty station. We were asked to pick our top 3 locations, which were 1. Camp Pendleton, California, 2. Miramar, California and 3. Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. When the orders came through, none of Jon's top 3 were chosen, instead we were given Iwakuni, Japan!
Fast forward 8 weeks, and here we are packing and getting ready to move 8,000 miles away.
